PRIDE is the latest work by Winnipeg painter Aleem Khan. It is a comment on the burning desire and determination required to be the best in ones field; about honing ones craft in hopes of one day having the opportunity to compete against the world finest. PRIDE is also meant to capture the excitement and fanfare that go along with the Olympic games and was specifically created to commemorate Canada’s hosting of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games to be held in Vancouver this coming February. PRIDE is 2 meters tall by 1.8 meters wide and is mixed medium on canvas.
