PHOTOGRAPHY
Years ago when I was studying architecture in university, they required us to get a proper camera so we could photograph our architectural models. I then and there made up my mind that if I was going to spend the kind of money required to purchase my recommended camera kit, I was going to commit to understanding photography.
I guess I always wanted to know how to create a riveting image, but the faculties insistence was the little nudge I needed. I was fortunate enough to have a passionate professor named Octavio Tivoli and through him I gained a basic understanding, but his passion rubbed off on me. I read books, practiced, and eventually became fairly accomplished among my peers.
I’ve always enjoyed photography. Hopefully that is evident in every section of this website. Almost all the work seen here is my own. I enjoy photographing the objects I make, my family and friends, my garden and just random objects. I feel like a good photographer can take an ordinary thing, and pull out what is special about that thing and highlight it for the rest of us to see.
